Recently I stopped into a local Chase branch office at 611 6th ave. in New York City to close my checking account. As I stepped in I was a little hesitant because we’ll I was closing my account. It wasn’t bad I just didn’t use it all so wanted to consolidate some accounts.
The front desk person took some personal info and started the process. He asked me why I was closing and what he could do to keep it open. I said “sorry I just don’t use it” I expected him to press the matter but the opposite he took the time to try and reverse some service fee charges which I was most happy about.
The whole thing took less than ten minutes. That’s awesome because as we all know especially in this city time is money. Getting in and out was painless and incredibly quick. At the clerk window as I was emptying my account the Branch Manger stepped up to me, handed me his card, and ask “if there is anything I can do to help please let me know” I thought wow when does anyone much less a manger take the time and go out of his way to help. The VP’s name was John Gogas so if you’re reading this, Thanks
A little sad I had to cancel the account because I got such awesome service but happy knowing that there are still banks like Chase, that care so much about how they treat their customers.
I was so inspired by this act of kindness I wanted to share it with my readers.
Apple: iPhone 5 generates 2 million pre-orders in 24 hours
Apple’s Phil Schiller has announced that Apple’s iPhone 5 generated 2 million pre-orders within the first 24 hours of availability, according to The Loop. “iPhone 5 pre-orders have shattered the previous record held by iPhone 4S and the customer response to iPhone 5 has been phenomenal,” Schiller said.
I have to say I’ve been an Apple hater for almost as long as I can remember but this year I thought let’s give it a try and I pre-order the iPhone 5. This being my first Apple product ever I’m a little hesitant on how well I will be able to use the device. I will definitely have to write a product review on my other blog bhattibytes.blogspot.com. Looks like from the post above that this may be the best of the best iPhone to hit the market. I guess I’m just happy I never bought into the first few generations so they had time fix all the issues. Wish they didn’t lose their contract with Google as their maps are just the best. Will have to see what Apple has in store for us.
Actually only reason I pre-ordered is because iPhone is on Sprints network so I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It’s not everyday you have an lasting experience with a brand like well, Walmart. Today I wanted to pre-order my favorite game of all time, Call of Duty: Black Ops II. I had some trouble trying to get in on BestBuy, damn phone rep kept hanging up on me. Can’t being to tell you how frustrating that was. But after a bit of Tweeting I was immediately contacted by a Walmart rep that was extremely nice it the way she presented me with options. They even tried to send me a discount for just being a loyal customer. Unfortunately I didn’t order from Walmart because of the timing I’d actually receive the game, but nonetheless I was floored by the professionalism and amiability of this particular Walmart rep. The
other reason is there is no Walmart store in NYC which is a bit confusing since they’d make an absolute killing here. Maybe my post will influence them into building one here, fingers crossed. I just wanted to share my experience in the hopes that someone like you would not waste their time with a store that doesn’t address your needs and concerns. Having had this experience I’d be inclined to shop at Walmart if I could. The positive experience will also be an opportunity to tell all my friends and family which in turn will help their sales. I can’t explain how much a good experience has on any company if you get social media involved. So thanks Steph for caring!
